Gender Based Violence

This component seeks to contribute to the reduction of domestic violence through protection and promotion of women and girl-children rights for gender equity among the Muslim community in Butambala and Kampala districts. MCJL does this through;

• Enhancing knowledge, skills and change of attitudes about domestic violence among top Muslim leadership.
• Raising awareness in Muslim communities through school interventions and the SASA methodology using community activists.
• Promoting appropriate and effective response mechanisms towards victims of Domestic Violence within the Muslim community
• Strengthening institutional capacity for effective scaling-up of domestic violence prevention.
