DUTY STATION: Mpigi district field Office.
REPORTS TO: Head Mpigi Legal aid Clinic.
DEPARTMENT: Legal Department
DEADLINE: 18th March 2020 at Midninght
JOB PURPOSE: To provide clerical support to the legal department.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Required Education | Diploma in Law; An accredited court process server is preferred. |
Other Requirements | Relevant working experience of at least 2 years in legal aid or law firm. |
JOB SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE LEGAL CLERK
The applicants should be ready to work in a legal aid setting and provide clerical support to the legal Officers and legal Assistants in mediation proceedings, filing of documents, arranging trial dates, serving documents and managing court fee payments in the districts of Mpigi and Butambala. The duty station is in Mpigi district.
KEY SKILLS:
The legal clerk must be highly organized, familiar with office technology and effective at communication. They must be comfortable with public interaction, especially when dealing with complaints, since they will usually be the first contact when involved parties have questions about court arrangements.
